Who we are

Serlink Innovations Ltd (“Serlink”, “we”) provides ERPNext implementation and IT infrastructure services. We are responsible for the personal information described in this notice. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected], call +1 (868) 730-9322, or write to us at Flamingo Boulevard, Phase 4, Sec 1, Malabar, Arima, Trinidad and Tobago.

The law we follow

Trinidad and Tobago’s Data Protection Act, 2011 (Chap. 22:04) sets out General Privacy Principles for anyone who handles another person’s personal information. The Act has so far been brought into force only in part. We follow its General Privacy Principles now, as described below, and we will meet its other obligations for private organisations as they come into force.

What we collect and why

We collect only what we need for the purpose shown, and we tell you that purpose when we collect it.

Your consent

We collect, use and share your information with your knowledge and consent: you choose to send a form or contact us, and the demo form asks you to confirm before we set up a demo. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. We then stop contacting you and delete your information, except anything we must keep by law.

How we use it

  • To reply to you, and to set up and support your demo.
  • To prepare proposals and, if you become a client, to provide our services.
  • To keep our forms and systems secure and free of spam.

We do not sell your information, add you to marketing lists without your agreement, or use your information for any other purpose without first asking you.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run our systems for us, and only so they can do that: our website host, our customer records system (ERPNext), our email provider, and the servers that host demo sites. They may not use your information for their own purposes.

Some of these providers are outside Trinidad and Tobago. For example, this website is hosted by Netlify in the United States. We use only providers whose safeguards for personal information we consider comparable to those of the Data Protection Act. We do not otherwise disclose your information unless the law or a court order requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and demo requests: for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client.
  • Demo sites: deleted automatically 14 days after we create them (or later, if you ask us for more time), together with everything entered into them and their logins.
  • Clients: for as long as we provide services to you, and afterwards for as long as the law requires us to keep business and tax records.

Keeping it accurate and secure

Tell us if your details change and we will update them. We protect your information with safeguards suited to it: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to the Serlink staff who need it, separate restricted accounts for our website’s connection to our customer records, and demo passwords that are sent only to you and never stored in our customer records.

Your rights

You can ask us, free of charge, to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you, how we use it and who we have disclosed it to, and give you a copy;
  • correct or complete information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete your information, or stop contacting you;
  • send you a copy of this notice and of our other policies on personal information.

Email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act. We aim to respond within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first and we will look into it promptly. Where the relevant provisions of the Data Protection Act are in force, you may also be able to complain to the Office of the Information Commissioner.

We will update this page when our practices change, and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell you before it applies.
